For Band of Outsiders' new ad campaign, the label's CFDA-winning artistic administrator Scott Sternberg looked to Harry Potter nemeses Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) and Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) to don looks from the line's Fall 2011 collection. In this absolute premiere of the campaign's images, the men advance their post-Potter ability as they analyze the bounds of the Magic Castle - no, not Hogwarts, but the L.A. mecca adulatory real-life sorcery.
As always, Sternberg attempt the ads himself application best Polaroid film, giving the images a rustic charm. Their personability is striking, and absolutely positions Grint and Felton in a altered ambience than we're acclimated to examination them. This is on par with Sternberg's antecedent ad campaigns for the label, which consistently play out like accurate mini-features and accept starred talents like Kirsten Dunst, James Marsden, Dave Franco, Marisa Tomei and Andrew Garfield. Walking into a Band of Outsiders Fashion Week presentation can feel a bit like walking assimilate a post-modern cine set: attractive men and women in cleverly destructive preppy accessory acquisition themselves in anxiously abnormal settings. Last year, some of the models floated from chandeliers while others sat abreast mountains of spartan chairs.
In the Fall 2011 campaign, Grint and Felton chargeless to charm calm the atrocity Weasley and Malfoy were already up to individually. Enemies in fiction, affiliated miscreants in apish reality: the Grint/Felton bromance ensures that Band of Outsiders already afresh prove to be advanced of the metamodern curve.
